Obama Quarterbacks US ISIS Invasion

I've voted Republican most of my life, but have to respect Obama's political courage in the midst of the endless ass-covering and hypocrisy in politics. He knows that it is inevitable that some of these refugees will make him look bad (like the prisoners he is releasing), but he's doing it anyway because he thinks it is right.
You are such a breath of fresh air! You're going to discover there is not much room for independent thinking in this lunatic asylum.

He's different from Bill Clinton, who would have put his finger to the wind and not taken the chance.

That's just an observation of the mettle of Obama the man, not necessarily agreement with all his policies.

One should always turn the other cheek, eh? Doing the right thing, taken to it's most absurd extreme, gets you killed. It's a dangerous world my friend, and there are many in it who don't give two shits about what's right, and what's wrong. I know the argument. We're better than that. That'll make a hell of an epitaph on Americas tombstone.

I know. Muslims will just seem to do anything no matter what the cost.

We all know that Sharpton is Obamas go to guy on race relations. That's been working out well. This is his go to person for dealing with Islamic terrorism and that's no joke.

We're talking about releasing prisoners who were given disproportionately long sentences for drug-related offenses (because Clinton wanted to look like a tough Democrat after the '94 midterm debacle) or letting in some Syrian refugees who are screened in advanced. I don't think that's turning the other cheek.

You wrote, "He knows that it is inevitable that some of these refugees will make him look bad". Now I understand that, and correct me of I'm wrong, that "looking bad" means he knows some of those "refugees" aren't really refugees and people are going to get killed as a result. The point I was making that while it may be the "right thing", lets make ourselves feel good thing to do in accepting the refugees, while knowing that some of them will be terrorists, isn't the wisest move to make. People will die as a result of the presidents willingness to "look bad". His primary job is to defend Americans, not look like a nice f'n guy.

Because he thinks it's right? The Spanish Inquisition masqueraded under the belief that what they did was right..... Our latest tragedy was perpetrated by people who did what they thought was "right".

Personal beliefs are not always synonymous with "what is right". Obama's beliefs and actions pertaining to Syrian refugees are possibly catastrophic and at the very least, just wrong.
