Thanks for the callout. Obama is the consummate professional.
But we've also seen Drumpf praising Obama, and saying he would seek his counsel. Guess you didn't get the memo that Drumpf is utterly clueless about the role he's weaseled into, but at least he knows that.

The thing is there was an election. Even with the media in the tank for Hillary she lost. The country had a chance to speak and it seems to have said it wants to move a little right of center. Perhaps even a bit right of that on some issues. I'm sure President Obama doesn't want chaos anymore than Donald Trump wants chaos so the Prez is saying some conciliatory things. Trump needs to say some conciliatory things as well and to back that up with action which right now means staffing decisions. He is doing that.
Already the hard-right is screaming that Trumps staff picks represent "Jeb Bush winning the election". When you hear that from the hard-right you can take that for what it is, Trump picking some moderates. It drives me crazy because I want John Bolton at State and similar guys in the whitehouse but I'm not getting what I want exactly either. Trump is going make deals to get things done and in Washington that means trying to get some bipartisan support.

Ok, as long as that activity is occurring in big leftist cities I doubt middle-America is going to care much. It just accelerates gentrification of the commercially viable areas and decay of the rest of the city. We've seen that in Los Angeles big time. Try finding a grocery store in South Central.
What you folks are really doing here is totally drilling the idea into everyone's heads that you are spoiled children and that the country made the right choice. You're doubling down on the nonsense that got you folks thrown out of government for awhile.
