According to your supply side economics, isn't Obama doing exactly what he is supposed to be doing by spending a lot of money? How many people will this event employ? Whats your beef?
 
Inaugural parties are paid for by sponsors, usually corporate and other institutions.

They should sell the tickets to the swearing-in instead of letting middlemen profiting from them. This is a state ceremony. The tickets are free:

If Obama was to cancel his party because of the economy he would most likely be called erractic by the media just like McCain. That would be if the media wasn't in the tank for Obama.

Was unemployment really this bad 14 years ago? Here in Vegas, a local 7-11 received 115 applications for an $8.50/hr cashier job.

How fucked up is that?
