Obama pays price for thinking Bush was a dunce

Quote from ..........:

1.Graduate from Columbia and Harvard law magna cum laude in the top 16 % of your class and being President of the Law Review is more then enough disclosure

2.Bush showed it was ok to be a drunk and coke head

3.Torture is a law of the United States as well as drunk driving, being awol from military service, securities fraud etc

You are a f*cking joke........I think you are the same person as Opt777

You debate with the mind of a child. What a waste of time.

Again,Typical Republican type response when presented with facts they can't handle

Quote from Lucrum:

Sounds like, according to YOUR standards, Bush was an Accomplished man.

He was,but it is mostly do to family name and connections.I respect a self made man like Obama more

BUT it does NOT necessarily mean he doesn't know what he's talking about.

I get it...you don't agree with McCartney.

Shocking...

Quote from Lucrum:

Absolutely, BUT it does NOT necessarily mean he knows what he's talking about.

I never said he hadn't accomplished anything. I mean look at all the drugs he's done AND survived. Now THAT is an accomplishment.

Very adult and mature post below...

Surely a very reasonable person...

Quote from Ivanovich:

Oh, I got your "specific" references. My point is you choose the "specific" references that make Bush look bad, and Obama look good for your argument's sake...
No, I didn't. You did:
Quote from Ivanovich:

...You can either blame Bush for Katrina and Obama for the oil spill, or blame neither of them for either incident. But you can't pick and choose.
You chose the specific references and I simply compared them and commented on them. Thanks for making it easy.

I doubt McCartney has ever paid a penny in U.S. income taxes. He's not a citizen nor legal resident. Even if his income is derived in the States-and I imagine most of it is-he's exempt from Federal taxes, unless he stays here better than half the year, which he doesn't.
Quote from OPTIONAL777:

I'm guessing McCartney pays more US income tax than you ever have...so as a taxpayer, does he have the right to make political comments?

Quote from Mav88:

They are pulling for their favorite politician so they'll publically say anything,

Once again you said people who weren't accomplished weren't impressed with Obama, when presented with facts you respond in typical Republican fashion

is it me or does anyone else noticed that ..... cannot form a detailed argument at any length?

I don't get it, why would a guy participate in this type of discussion if all he can retort with is 'you respond in typical republican fashion' when in fact he didn't present any facts at all, he simply asserted without a reference that Warren Buffet is personally impressed with Obama's resume.

Quote from Mav88:

he simply asserted without a reference that Warren Buffet is personally impressed with Obama's resume.

And your dumb ass asserted that he wasn't

We don't know for sure as Buffet has never commented on Obamas resume, but we do know that Buffet publicly supported Obama and said he was doing a good job.Imo that supports my opinion more then yours

Quote from Ivanovich:

Why are you comparing the two? I'm not. I think Obama sucks. Forget about him for the purpose of this conversation. It's like you have something to prove with it. I agree with 99.98% of everything you have ever said about Obama on this website. But I'm talking about Bush only.
Sorry for being slow to respond. I see your point and I may have overreacted. But, it's hard to critique performance in a vacuum, much easier to compare two or three related cases. Because of their time proximity, here and in many other places, Obama is most often being compared to GWBush. Actually, it's Obama who insists on reminding everyone of this, as he blames his predecessor for everything.

Coming back to W, I don't think that he was perfect, not even close, and I strongly disagreed with some of his policies, eg the war. But, ultimately, I found him trustworthy and a good representative of the typical American. Like him, I respect life, I think that lower taxes help everyone, not only the rich, and I don't trust (don't even like) the UN.

All in all, as I mentioned before, I think that W was an average president, certainly much better than the guy we have now. I also think that Clinton was very good and Reagan was the best, especially during his first term, before he started getting sick. And, of course, I'm aware of the fact that many others disagree. Oh well.
