Obama OUTRAGE... "Wounded Military Should Pay Their Own Medical Costs"...

Quote from Landis82:

He criticizes the President for having a lack of integrity and morality. Yet, the OP has no problem "parading" around ET after having claimed to have said "Goodbye" after 10,000 posts...

... Quite frankly, I sit in front of my computer screens for far too long as it is.

Tell you what . . .

I'll stay out of the Politics & Religion Forum for the rest of the year. No other screen-names, no aliases. It's just not worth my time anymore.

I really hope you were joking when you wrote this FloydLandis. You said you would not post in P&R for a year but here you are.

Quote from Barth Vader:

No sir, I am crystal clear on Mr. Obama's political history, his mentors, some of his appointments and their political philosophy.

Would you agree that some of the more, shall we say leftist members of Congress (all of whom seem to be members of the CPC) are rather upset that Mr. Obama has back-tracked on a 100% central government healthcare tertium quid ?

The dismay these esteemed MOC's display, would by default lead one to assume that Mr. Obama was supportive of their far reaching power grab, until the public became aroused.

"..radical leftist vision of a Winston Churchill...", and I am the believer of hatchet jobs !!

The last was a sarcastic reference to the fact that Churchill would have been considered socialist by you and a lot of other people for proposing a national health plan. All Obama has done so far is offer one that would exist side by side with private insurance, which is to the right of the position Churchill took more than sixty years ago.
That ain't a hatchet job; it's the truth.
Sorry about your brother, btw. Your analysis of why Obama was wrong on the proposal to which the OP's satire referred was actually accurate and fair.

Thank you
You defended your position with skill and passion, always good ingredients for a lively debate.

What I am saying is this thread is not truthful of what happened.
No, Obama did not try to make veterans pay for their wounds. His intention was to have veterans who have a private insurance (already) to see if the war injurys can be paid from that. This thread try to make Obama seem heartless about veterans. After some people show Obama that to do that with private insurance could have a "unintended consequences" for veterans and family, then Obama did not do it. So I think his mistake only was of propose something like that before he understand the "unintended consequences" No one person know everything. But people use that mistake to create a monster of Obama for a political agenda. So who is more heartless, Obama to suggest a private insurance pay for veterans without understanding a "unintended consequences", or people who use veterans problems for their political agenda and create exaggeration and lies to veterans?

Overall, I find your remarks to be an acceptable and accurate synopsis of the argument at hand.

My problem with the initial proposal, which I would even endeavor to speculate that Mr. Obama had no prior knowledge of, was that it was even a proposel in the first place !!

The politically frightening aspect of this fiasco, was that somewhere in the halls of government, a person(s) is receiving a tax payer funded salary and benefits who did not understand that in their zeal to slash costs (and if I may be so bold, slash costs on line items obviously not on the administrations "do not touch list") they were breaching a hallowed tradition of the nation ( not BlueCross or Aetna) to honor and maintain those who have given more for the nation than most of us could imagine.

It was a grievous error in judgement and a rookie political mistake, which to be fair, I believe Mr. Obama corrected upon realization of the matter.

Barth Vader, you are saying it is insensitive because people go to war for their country, then that country try to find someone else to pay for injurys of war? I understand that. But Obama was not asking for the veterans to pay for their own injurys like this thread try to make people believe. Your brother deserve to have all help he needs with no worry to him. I believe that.

Your reading comprehension is horrible.
But I am not surprised . . . you prove that day in and day out with your RACIST posts in this forum.

For you and your "friends" it's NEVER about the FACTS. Only about inflammatory rhetoric that is based on nonsense.

Obama signed into law a +8.2% increase on medical care for military personnel and their families for FY-2010 over 2009. But you cannot accept that FACT, can you?

http://www.defenselink.mil/comptroller/defbudget/fy2010/fy2010_SSJ_Special_Topics.pdf

The FACTS are shown on Page 2 of the above pdf-file.

But you don't associate yourself with the FACTS, do you???

You wouldn't last more than 2 minutes in front of my local high school debate team.

:D

Loonies82 finally comes clean and admits he is still in high school.

It's funny, after 8 years of "Hate Bush" and misinformation from the press the 'crats get into power... then people see what they really elected and now the 'crats popularity is falling fast.. they went under 50% recently and nobody knows where the bottom is... they have control of the White House, Senate, and House of Reps and Obama can't even unite them.. so much for reaching across the aisle too, if he can't unite his own idiots then forget the whole spectrum...
