Pattern recognition is wrong at times in the markets...ask RM who correctly called the top of the oil market last summer but also called for a bottom of stocks. He is quite adept at pattern recognition.
One pattern recognition I employ is when I read someone who is posting in all caps much of the time, is a fanatical thinker...
