John Kerry is a member of the Roman Catholic church. So does that mean he ipso facto supports the Church's anti-abortion doctrine as a Legislator? Clearly not.
She's a pro-life politician. She campaigns as a right to lifer and she obviously lives as a right to lifer. None of that though means that she's a legislative activist on behalf of right to life initiatives. There's only one relevant question, "If you were President would you provide a litmus test to prospective Federal judicial nominees as to their views on abortion"? I presume SHE WOULD. So would Ron Paul though. So if Ron Paul is the Libertarian litmus test we're back to the discussion of how are Palin's views on reproductive rights different or more extreme than Paul's? And my answer is: NO ONE's views are more extreme that Pauls.

Quote from BlindLemonBoosh:
"The problem is that FFL doesn't just oppose abortion. FFL wants abortion to be illegal. All abortions, period, including those for rape, incest, health, major fetal defects and, although Foster resisted admitting this, even some abortions most doctors would say were necessary to save the woman's life. (Although FFL is not a Catholic organization, its rejection of therapeutic abortion follows Catholic doctrine.) FFL wants doctors who perform abortions to be punished, possibly with prison terms."

Supporting evidence for above statement:
FFL Amicus Brief for Bray v. Alexandria Women's Health Clinic
"The early feminists defied many social conventions, but saw abortion, which they consistently referred to by terms such as "child-murder," as the result of unequal treatment of women, not a solution to that problem. They supported laws restricting abortion, as well as vigorous efforts against what they considered to be its root causes. "
"The Early Feminist Opposition to Abortion Included Support for Legal Restrictions Upon Abortion, and Enforcement of Such Restrictions."
"Senator Duke noted during floor debate on the Ku Klux Klan Act that procured abortion was itself an illegal act. Thus, to conspire privately to peaceably block the doors to an abortion clinic no more deprives women of the essential rights of national citizenship to equally participate in the political or judicial process, than a sit-in at a segregated lunch counter deprives potential restaurant patrons of their citizenship rights."
"Simply put, the respondents here support the act of abortion, and its legalization. The petitioners oppose the act of abortion"

The position of Feminists for Life on 'abortion legalities' is quite clear. Sarah Palin is a member of FFL.
More evidence:
"Palin is anti-choice and is a member of an âanti-abortion group called Feminists for Life.â In 2002, when she was running for lieutenant governor, âPalin sent an e-mail to the anti-abortion Alaska Right to Life Board saying she was as âpro-life as any candidate can beâ and has âadamantly supported our cause since I first understood, as a child, the atrocity of abortion.ââ"

I can offer you a hypothesis.
