OBAMA: I’VE RESTORED THE US AS THE ‘MOST RESPECTED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD’

In other news, Obama has healed racial divisions in the country and brought us together. Income inequality is on the decline as well, and healthcare is fixed.

That's weak, unpatriotic, and ignorant. The US probably is (remains) the most overall respected country in the world, despite recent history.
 
That's your opinion. Mine is that it's strong, extremely patriotic and derived from a scope of knowledge you can only fantasize , now didn't we have fun. Wasn't the exchange useful and enlightening to our lives.

No, your opinion is merely the product of ODS, and you couldn't care less if its fruits hurt the US.
 
I traveled a lot when Reagan restored america. I remember being in spain particularly but also in the rest of Europe and seeing quite a bit anti Reagan and anti american slogans. There was a strong resentment in the hater class and the leftists. But, of course back then we did not care about them.

At the same time many other Europeans loved us and our dollars. Traveling in Yugoslavia was amazing at the time. One other note... of course the Parisians were as arrogant as they could be, but the rest of France really seemed to like Americans.

I believe both Bush and then Obama took us down notches. The question is which notches, how many notches and from which observers.

My argument would be that Obama took us down quite a few notches in the eyes the people Obama was attempting to please. Bush took us down in their eyes too... but he was not attempting to please them.
