Quote from Mercor:

Sure, no one seems to care about pot use these days, for many even if it is their own children.[/quote/

In the US slightly less than half of all the citizens have admitted to trying marijuana.

But this will be the first time a nominee and potential President has admitted to committing felonies.

Hell if Bush's drunk driving charge, and Cheney's two DUI convictions from years past weren't an issue I hardly think that this merits worrying about.

Cocaine possession is criminal equivalent of armed robbery.
Pot is one thing, but few people favor legalizing cocaine.

How will Obama view the unlucky cocaine users who got caught and are in prison.

Hopefully by emphasizing equal sentencing for crack as for cocaine so whites go to prison as much as blacks -- or better yet, hopefully emphasizing rehabilitation.

I can't find anything in his 60 page policy position paper on drugs... but I did Google and find that he's spoken in favor of needle exchanges in the past to reduce the spread of HIV and therefore reduce health costs.

Oh, and I checked the previous posters' accusation that Obama sold drugs, and there's no quote that supports this at all. Just another GOP lie, I suppose.

Quote from ZZZzzzzzzz:

Republicans don't seem to care about drunk driving...

So GW gets busted while drunk and driving a car...

GW's wife kills her ex boyfriend while driving her car...

Cheney gets caught twice for driving while drunk (and most folks believe Cheney was drinking when he shot his friend with a shotgun)...

And you are worried about someone doing some pot or a bit of blow in their youth?

How do Bush and Cheney view the unlucky people in jail for felony DUI?

Geez...if republicans only had a brain.

Both Cheney and Bush were caught and did their penance.

I am sure they feel the current laws are fair because they both had to live by them.

Obama never had to live by them.

Defending Obama I notice your arguments are becoming weak and petty.

from a film that just captivated you. We're jolted into having to choose between what we're given, Bilderburgs running the world or not. One of the candidates is going to make life a little better for a majority of people and the other is going to take care of his minority constituency. I'm not sure a libertarian anarcho-syndicalist approach to governing wouldn't just have a different set of predators at the top of the food chain -- seems unavoidable.

We'd first have to agree both parties are different heads on the same, toothless beast... Not so.

This beast has claws and fangs. They're waiting until we're deep in their cellar, locked away where our screams and pleads for help will be muffled to the outside world. Then the Gloves come off...

This slow boil has taken years to acclimate. From the Charter of the Federal Reserve, to the New Deal, to War Powers Act, to the Cold War, to the Drug War, to the War on Terror.

The American Constitution was crafted in large part, to give Sheeple TIME.

Time to reclaim the Rights from a Tyrannical Government the Founders knew would eventually commander the Levers of Power.

Like you mentioned, its always been the way.

But this soft tyranny we're now in is nowhere close to the Big Show.

Remember, both Parties that delivered us to the New World Order have only prepared the machinations of servitude, up until this point.

Its taken the better course of a Century to legislate, acclimate, brainwash and pacify the Nation for Martial Law and Federal TakeOver.

But now the table is set. Right underneath America's nose. All this time...

Everything is dual-use. As a Country, we assumed the best.

Afterall, thats how the infiltrated Department of Education taught Patriotism for the past 80 years. Fealty to Government, not Liberty.

The Department of Education was one of the first Institutions arrested under NWO control. Easier to indoctrinate submission into the young and let the Country mature into servitude, rather than wage war against the impenetrable psyche of their forebearers.

Either way, its done. All the Urban Warfare drills (Americans rounding up Americans). Police-State Law. Culture of fear and paranoia. Controlled elections. Propagandized media 24/7.

Americans are so dumbed-down and ignorant to their own heritage, they're about to repeat it.

Ummm... Cheney got arrested and convicted of drunk driving, and his penalty was... (wait for it) a $100 fine.

Was Obama ever arrested for drug use the way Bush and Cheney were for driving drunk?

Penance for their driving a car while drunk, an act that routinely kills people?

What great penance did they do?

$150 fine for Bush, $100 for the second DUI for Cheney?

Putting a self confessed person who has claimed to have tried coke as a teenager (but never arrested for doing so) on the level of someone above 20 years old driving a car while drunk, and arrested doing so, is truly the thought process of a mental midget.

Geez...republicans, stupid is as stupid does...

Well, Obama is giving them a run for their money. Did you hear he picked Biden for VP? So much for "change".

Bwahahahahahahaha:D

Back 20 years DUI in most states was not even a felony.
Many times ,I recall , police would just make everybody pour out the beer then they would let you go.

It was Reagon and the republicans who started the movement to be tougher on crime. That has saved 1000's of lives. Of course the liberals always complain about the prisions.

Terrible choice for VP, really doesn't help Obama at all in any way I can see.

Yes, dems are also as stupid as republicans at times...

The choice of the hawkish Biden is confusing to say the very least, and it does not stand for a clear cut alternative. It really portrays Obama as clueless, and seeking "experience" above all. Terrible.
