^ i pretty much agree with you, but I think that if a countries citizens want their independence then who are we to judge? In the case of syria however, if assad is truly fighting al queda which seems to be the current media consensus.. we should encourage him to drop chemicals and anything else on them, not attack him. Seriously, that is our enemy, this 'policy' of obamas is like the opposite of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." Unless of course he really is a muslim zealot himself.
I like it, the war IS for business's sake after all.Quote from achilles28:
The ruling elite know what they're doing. This destabilization campaign in the middle east is exactly that. Installing Al Queda to power in Libya, Iraq, Syria is a setup to a larger conflict, which apparently, is the longer-term goal. People can't come to terms with the obvious, because it's so plainly evil and frightening. Obama knows the Free Syrian Army are mostly Al Queda. Just like he knew the Libyan Rebels were mostly Al Queda and put them in power. The Military Industrial Complex needs enemies to fight. That's partially why China was gifted our factories. 30 years down the road, they're a formidable economic and military threat. This is a great sowing-harvest cycle, spread over decades, to create enemies to fight. Like Johnny Appleseed, except with diabolical intentions.

Oh yeah. We sent a warship to counter the British once, so we could have birdshit all to ourselves.Quote from SteveNYC:
yep.
wwii was a good example. the us sales pitch was to liberate europe.
the real reason was economic.
did you notice how the dow and s&p started to blast off right after the us invasion of iraq back in 2003? almost like the next day.
historically, i think most wars were fought for economic reasons.
