Don't believe your own eyes. Believe the gov't.

We already witnessed the people who were told to stand down in Benghazi affirm that fact on tv. But we were told in the official report to believe un-named gov't sources who said nobody told them to stand down.

Now we have video tape of Sheryl Attkinson's computer on videotape going full scitzoid deleting the files she had that were embarrassing to the gov't and the justice dept says they've done an investigation and it was just a malfunction of Atkinson's computer.

We've gotten to the point where they will deny things that you can see right in front of you with your own eyes.

The gov't will expand to the limits of what the people will take without rebelling.

Obama Mocks Mitt Romney For Being 'Suddenly Deeply Concerned About Poverty'


WASHINGTON -- Thought the 2012 presidential campaign was over? Think again.

President Barack Obama didn't have much to say about Mitt Romney's rekindled aspirations for the White House when he delivered a flat, "No comment," earlier this month. But apparently he couldn't resist much longer, following reports that the former GOP candidate was weighing entering the ring in 2016 on a platform focused on lifting up the middle class and eliminating poverty.

Addressing House Democrats at their annual retreat in Philadelphia on Thursday night, Obama referred to one “former presidential candidate” who was "suddenly deeply concerned about poverty."


"That's great. Lets do something about it," Obama said, according to a White House pool report.

Romney fired back on Twitter, by noting poverty levels under the Obama administration.

"Mr. Obama, wonder why my concern about poverty? The record number of poor in your term, and your record of failure to remedy," Romney said.

Obama also said in Philadelphia that he had heard a Republican senator, who he did not name, was "suddenly shocked, shocked, that the 1 percent" was doing much better than the vast majority of Americans.

"I consider imitation the highest form of flattery," Obama said of Republicans' sudden embrace of populist rhetoric.

Three Republican senators considering bids for president -- Rand Paul of Kentucky, Ted Cruz of Texas, and Marco Rubio of Florida -- spoke about the need to address income inequality at a summit organized by the Koch Brothers on Sunday.

Mitt Romney Is Not Running For President In 2016


Former Massachusetts governor and 2012 GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney said he will not run for president in 2016.

Hugh Hewitt posted text of the remarks Romney was to make on a conference call with donors discussing his 2016 plans on Friday.

"After putting considerable thought into making another run for president, I’ve decided it is best to give other leaders in the Party the opportunity to become our next nominee," the prepared remarks say.


Romney lost his 2008 bid for the Republican presidential nomination to Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), and in 2012, ran unsuccessfully against President Barack Obama.

Romney hinted recently that he was exploring a run for the presidency after months of him saying he would not make another White House bid.

"I'm not running, I'm not planning on running, and I've got nothing new on that story," he told Bloomberg in October 2014.

But even as he denied he was interested in another campaign, Romney left the door open. Romney told donors earlier in January that he was considering running for president, and moved to reassemble his old campaign team.

Romney's potential 2016 Republican rivals had questioned whether the former governor could bring anything new to a campaign.

"There are some who believe that the path to Republican victory is to run to the mushy middle, is to blur distinctions," Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said in January in response to a question about Romney. "I think that recent history has shown us that’s not a path to success. It doesn’t work. It’s failed electoral strategy."

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) dismissed Romney as "yesterday's news".
 
I suspect Romey and Bush worked out some sort of deal. Look for Romney as Sec. of Treasury in a Bush administration. It never made sense for both of them to run, as they would be just splitting the establishment vote. Now Bush can go head to head with Christie for the country club republicans.

We are seeing a rerun of age old republican battles between northeastern/midwestern liberals/moderates and western/southern conservatives. It's the Goldwater/Reagan wing against the Rockefeller/Bush wing.
