In fact, many believe that inherently his political ideology is communism given his background and mentors from the past. Regardless, he rails frequently about people paying their ‘fair share,’ attacking those who he deems to have enough wealth with a demand that they pay more. Now that Tax Day has passed, de Blasio has done something that no New York Mayor has ever done. He released his full tax return, but the information it contained does not mesh with his rhetoric.

According to a report by The Daily Caller, de Blasio paid an effective federal tax rate of 8.3%.
