This is how President Obama signed the guestbook at Westminster Abbey earlier today, where he got a tour from the Very Reverend Dr. John Hall and laid a wreath on the Grave of the Unknown Warrior.

It is a great privilege to commemorate our common heritage, and common sacrifice.

It was really nice until he got the date wrong by three years. Granted, 2008 was a great year for him, and we might try to live it for as long as possible, too, if we were him. Also, though, he may have had a stroke.
 
Not only is the date wrong by 3 years but where was he taught to use a military or European style date? That's not how most Americans who have never been in the military write a date. He just should have signed it "present".

Yeah but at least he finally knows there are 50 and not 57 states in the union.
So he's got that going for him. Which is nice.
 
I could understand if he put May 22, and it was the 23rd or something like that, but how do you screw up the date by 3 years.

I hear that the Russian Orthodox church is using a calendar different from the West. Also a Russian would write the day before the month. Now recall Obama's speech about Sputnik being one of the greatest scientific achievements. Add to this the birth certificate confusion...

Not suggesting anything, just putting 1 and 2 together.
