Obama gives order to all public US buildings to honor Mandela

0056: US President Barack Obama has ordered flags at half-mast on all US public buildings until sunset on 9 December in honour of Mandela.

How come? Is Mandela also an American hero?
 
Is that what he said, "half mast"? If that's the case, would only apply to ships. Or, perhaps he doesn't know that buildings don't have "masts".

Obama doesn't even remember where he lived.

President Obama acknowledged on Thursday that he lived with his Kenyan uncle for a brief period in the 1980s while preparing to attend Harvard Law School, contradicting a statement more than a year ago that the White House had no record of the two ever meeting.

i heard that to. It's unreal how much this guy lies, seriously he is the shadiest public figure i can think of. we've seen his little biography piece that stated he was born in kenya, all of his school records are sealed (foreign aid?), and we've seen little barry's yearbook photo from school in jakarta, aka muslim central.
