Times are so bad that all it needs is a spark. I think if one top general calls for the arrest of Barack Obama, not less than 50 thousand patriots will immediately descend upon Washington DC with firearms.

I agree with you in this. I find it scary to see this stuff being stockpiled because sooner or later they will find an excuse to use it. There are laws against the Army conducting domestic operations. Why don't they apply here?

They will justify it by saying they have to be prepared to deal with terrorists who set off bombs, etc. Isn't that a function the National Guard can serve? They are under each state's governor's control, at least until they care called into federal service.
