I live in NYC, I don't drive. But I wouldn't mind seeing lower gas prices.
People like you don't get. Even if I had the wealth of Gates, I wouldn't want to spend my money on fucking gas. Might as well piss it right down the drain.

I parked my car sometime around xmas and have driven it once since then (mostly because I refuse to pay $4.60/gallon for premium when I can walk or take public transit).... furthermore, I walked 5 miles home from work on Monday to avoid taking the train (it rained today so I decided to go to the bar and get drunk and take the train home...sue me...the amount of tail I saw along Lake Mich made me think that I should be doing this more often)....I get it....and I hope you and your son enjoy many more ballgames.

I'm without question an independent, but if Obama can manage to outspend Bush in the most inefficient methods possible, that'd be quite the accomplishment.

But I'm telling my Accredited Clients who are gun collectors to take a portion of what they've got in cash, and load up on magazines, and rifles the "Dums" will target in their assault on our rights. (no more than 5% of cash reserves, but for some of these guys... I'd like to have a cash reserve like them.

The Glock 17 magazine (9mm) back in 1993 was between $14-$17, and was 17 rounds. After the crime bill slick willy signed banning over 10 round mags in 1994, they were going for $120 at gun shows, and $100.00 through "wholesale" outlets. So my advice: stock up if you can afford to hold illiquid investments 2-4 years. Your return, when Odumba gets in, and strokes the Oprah-inticed anti-gun bill(s) into place, will be substantial. I think the high-capacity Glock mags are about $19-$20 now btw. They'll be $150+ when they're banned again, and you know what the dumb money does... They always snap from fear of missed opportunity, and yes, buy at the top. In other words, they'll sell quickly.

yet another common misperception...Democrats want to take your guns away...this is basically the last straw for the Republicans...to coerce the good hunters of America that the gummint is going to take your guns away.
I am a Democrat (for lack of a "better" electable choice). I own a 30-06, a 12 gauge and an AK-47. I enjoy shooting them all. I also believe that it is my consitutional right to own a gun and to shoot deer for sport or to feed my family (for those of you who have been involved in an accident involving a deer you will warm up to the "sport" concept quickly)...at the rate that Native Americans are re-aquiring land we may need to fend them off again (...I jest)
although I disagree with the prior posters rationale for owning guns, ammunition and magazines...they will be better currency in the event that "shit hits the fan" than gold. Seriously...what are you going to do with a pocketful of gold in the event of a serious disaster?....the guy with the AK is going to take it from you....then you're basically F#$%'d
It was a bit much. We should throw our government in prison for their piss poor performance, which at no point was the interest of the American people at the top of the agenda.
