Those damned rich people at it again!
It couldn't be the insane regulations prohibiting the construction and operation of new refineries. It couldn't be the failure to issue permits for domestic offshore drilling. It couldn't be the failure to issue permits for domestic onshore drilling. It couldn't be the failure to build a pipeline to Canada to secure their new sources of oil. It couldn't be the failure to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
Must be those damned rich oil speculators.
Say, maybe we could dramatically increase the capital gains taxes and also massively increase the taxes on dividends. That would fix those evil rich people.
