Obama budget cuts have little deficit impact

Quote from seneca_roman:

I'm, amazed at the posters who parrot faux news And rush the leader of the republican party.

For example we have this from faux newsman Hannity:

"SUMMARY: Sean Hannity asserted that the economic stimulus bill would amount to spending at least $217,000 for every job created, echoing a false calculation from a press release issued by the Republicans on the House Appropriations Committee and repeated by numerous media figures. In fact, by calculating the per-job cost by dividing the estimated total cost of the stimulus package by the estimated number of jobs created -- and thus suggesting that the sole purpose of that package is to create jobs -- these media figures ignored other tangible benefits stemming from the package, such as infrastructure improvements and education, health, and public safety investments."

I don't know why Obama proposed the cuts but it brings forth the true colors of both parties and that is they all rail against deficits but when push comes to shove they want the status quo and no cuts either meaningfull or trivial.

Vote em all out come next election as the clowns in both parties don't deserve to hold an office if they can't even agree on token cuts.

Americans need to become more educated and involved in the political process OUTSIDE the existing two parties for any real change to develop.

Please feel free to provide a link to credible documentation that supports your claim of above.

And do us all a favor and avoid anything from that "fair and balanced" bastion of objective journalism, Faux News.

I seriously doubt you can . . . But keep on posting your worthless Glenn Beck garbage. It makes you look most "intelligent". :D

Hey Genius, the stimulus bill spent $787 Billion to create 3.5 million jobs. The 3.5 million jobs created is right from Obama's mouth. Even if it meets Obama's goal that is $225,000 per job created. Simple math.

Quote from seneca_roman:

Simple math don't work as it fails to account for other matters: pls read:

Ohhh my fault, they are going to use some of the money to improve education. What a noble idea. Lets fix education by throwing money at it. That has never been tried in the past and failed miserably.

Do you really think Obama cares about education? If so, why did he cut school vouchers, in DC?

Quote from bugscoe:

Very good point Seneca. It's because of simple math not working that the per job cost balloons up to the $600,000 mark.

Clearly your reading skills lack and maybe you should enroll again. That is not what the article talks about. Investments have returns in addition to just employing someone else why build roads, send kids to school, build dams, etc?

It's not my reading skills you should be attacking.

Google is a wonderful tool. Give it a whirl.

And to save you time, you don't need to look at Fox.

I did and don't look at faux news and what I found was the actual cost per job calculated by economists to be around 63K which is the point made by the link I posted for all to read.

Hey Seneca this stimulus bill is going to choke future economic growth. Its that simple. It will produce a short-term boost followed by choked economic growth. Why can't you see that? Are we heroin addicts? Do we need a short term fix even if it results in long term pain?
