Another point I would make is that according to factcheck.org, the state of Hawaii does not have an option for requesting the vault version, only the certification of live birth. Factcheck.org claims that they requested an answer as to why this is so from the state of Hawaii and received no response. This seems rather curious in light of the recent development of the governor of Hawaii placing a seal on the official vault version of the certificate. If the vault version could not be requested, it would seem there would be no need for a seal.

The problem here, I think, is that high ranking republicans don't want to get involved in this because if the vault version is revealed and it substantiates the short form, they will be listed as kooky conspiracy theorists. So, getting the right people involved, people who are considered to have legal standing, whatever that is considered to be in this case, may be difficult.
If the vault version is finally made public and there is no hospital listed on the form, (just one possibility) we would have a legal shoot-out that makes the Clinton impeachment hearings look like really, really small potatoes.

Whats even more interesting than whether Obama is a natural born citizen or not, is what happens when he is elected. (and I think he will be.)
If he isn't and it is proven, I'd bet the constitiution takes the hit and not Obama. Imagine the unrest to have an elected president disqualified.
