Obama At African Summit: “The fact that he’s from Kenya" Helps - MSNBC

so what...

the consensus on where obama was born does not matter. only the truth and the evidence supporting that truth.

the law on whether someone who has a parent from kenya can be a natural born citizen would ultimately be decided by the supreme ct.

Right, but your BFF Ted Cruz was born in Canada. Parent from Kenya? wtf does that have to do with anything?

You've got two years.

Better hurry.

If your question is legitimately what is a natural born citizen? that is a constitutional requirement and what it is has been a debate for a very long time. Ultimately that would be for the US sup ct to define.

I used cruz as an example years ago when bringing this up during the obama eligibility issue.
I also predicted then that if cruz looks like a front runner for 2016... all the losers who do not care about the constitution for leftists will flip the script and start caring about the constitution for cruz. We have already seen it a bit.

They will say it was not an issue for Obama because... (insert distinction without a difference) but it is an issue for Cruz... (give constitutional language).
Then they will give their opinion but to look like a journalist they will say it will probably be a matter for the court.

I am not trying to do anything about it now.
I knew the argument was over when the dentist / lawyer what was her name miley cycrus had the default in the palm of her hand... but chose to put on a circus instead of taking the default.

Your attendant needs to check your meds.

you are a legal history denying moron.
obama failed to appear in a georgia ct on the issue of his records for the ballot.
the court advised the parties present it was going to enter a default... the lawyers foolishly wanted to put on their evidence and
then lost.

look it up.

No.

You imply it's an issue for Obama (the Supremes), but not for Cruz. The douche was born in Hawaii, his mother was US-born, but it's not open to interpretation that Cruz was born in Canada. Now the naturalization of one parent means something? So let's conveniently skip the fact that Cruz is Canadian born. Canada trumps Kenya?

Yes, have someone adjust your dose.

From salon.com

Cruz’s official Canadian birth certificate, as posted by the Dallas Morning News, shows that Rafael Edward Cruz was born in Calgary, Alberta, on December 22, 1970. Oddly, however, the birth was not registered until December 31, leaving an unexplained gap of nine days. But where was baby Ted over Christmas, an astute birther might ask. Donald Trump could build a casino in a hole that size.

Still, the birth certificate does state that Cruz’s mother, Eleanor Elizabeth Wilson, was born in Wilmington, Delaware. As Cruz has often said, that made him a U.S. citizen at birth, and therefore eligible to be president – but only if the birth certificate is accurate. The Canadian officials would have had no reason to question Cruz’s mother about her native country, nor would they have demanded any proof. Her word alone was good enough for Canadian purposes. Why would they care about the baby’s future qualification for the U.S. presidency?

Which brings us – or rather, which ought to bring the birthers – to the documents Cruz has not produced. Where, for example, is the Consular Report of Birth Abroad, which Cruz’s parents could have obtained at the U.S. consulate in Calgary? That would at least establish their intention to register him as an American citizen while they were living in Canada. For that matter, where is Eleanor Wilson’s own birth certificate? I mean, anyone can claim to have been born in Delaware, and everyone (including this dual citizen of the United States and Canada) knows that Canadians are too polite to ask tough questions. Birthers will have no such qualms. Will they require documentary proof?

Of course, even a sheaf of birth certificates would still leave Cruz’s citizenship technically open to question. Under the law in effect in 1970, Cruz would only have acquired U.S. citizenship if his mother had been “physically present” in the United States for ten years prior to his birth, including five years after she reached the age of fourteen. Neither Cruz’s birth certificate, nor his mother’s, nor the Consular Report could irrefutably establish Eleanor Wilson’s residence for the necessary length of time. For all birthers know, she might have been living in Kenya.

what are you talking about. where are you getting your misrepresentations of my positions... my position has not changed...

NBC could have been an issue for obama... because there is no sup ct definition of natural born citizen. it can be an issue for cruz too, and I have said that here in the past.
that was my position then it is my position now.

its not even an question... The court could decide you must have 2 american parents or 1 or something else closer to the definition of citizen.

Regarding the link... that was mostly a thread discussing the proof of where Obama was actually born.
that is not the same issue.
