A little Herbalife red-herring
Here - linked - and from the SEC's Edgar database is the original Herbalife IPO prospectus. This document was filed on 1 October 2004.

Remember back then. George Bush was President yet to win his second term. Barrack Obama was a junior Senator for Illinois and you needed to be a political junkie to have heard of him. Almost nobody could have identified his family in a photo.

And so - lurking - unnoticed in the prospectus - is this photo presumably representing Herbalife customers or distributors:

It occupied my mind for a while - but it is alas not the First Family much as I wish it were. It is just one of life's little coincidences.

Then of course I may be wrong. Been wrong before. Appearances might not be deceiving...

Worst trade i made all year, averaging down HLF the day some ass hat called them a pyramid scheme which everyone already knew they were, puked it out at like 28-29 for a 15k-20k loss only to watch it go up 10 bucks in the next week......... had i held for 2 weeks it would have been a 100k profit.

So, Obama is selling Herbalife out of the basement of the White House. Who knew.

Now we know what that secret construction project at the White House last year was all about. Obama needed more warehouse space to stock his Herbalife product.

I wonder if he was able to sell any to Putin. Maybe that's why Putin had that sour look on his face after their last meeting. You know how you feel when one of your friends joins an MLM and puts the sales pitch on you. You can't just tell your friend to fuck off. You've got to listen to his spiel out of respect for the mistake he's making.

The White House construction wasn't a secret. Obammer had the rose garden removed, and replaced it with a KFC.
