Give him this. He's not lying that he will shut off illegal immigration in exchange for amnesty, as democrats and some republicans have claimed in the past. No siree. Obama has no plans to try to close the border. It is just too darned hard.
We can try to turn Afghanistan into Switzerland, we can control the climate, we can go into outer space, we can transform our economy to green energy, yes we can...but closing and controlling a border in largely wide open desert? Just too hard.
