Oh I will let ET know about this. I am very irritated with Oanda about this issue. I have enough money now to switch to a more advanced broker. Perhaps, its time.

Only three weeks ago, Oanda's credit card approval system wasn't working. I tried to load about 5 times with my credit card. It finally worked again when I tried a couple of days later. Now, imagine if i'd done this with my debit card? $10,000 poof? Where's my money? "Oh you'll get it back next statement period..... maybe!"

Indeed, how will that work for you? You've deposited with credit card which you are no longer allowed to do. Go and attempt a withdrawal without completing the process fully. Does it still give you the credit card option for withdrawal?

I think I'll look into that. I don't need to withdraw currently, but at some point, I will. By and large, I have been happy with Oanda, but one thing I find aggravating is if I have to reboot my system, it can take many minutes, even up to 20 to get their platform back up. I've also had similar issue using their desktop launch. Not always, but usually at the worst possible time. I keep my java current, so not sure why I have that issue. Nor are they.

These are my options for deposit...Bank Transfer, Check, Debit Card
These are my options for withdraw...Bank Transfer, Credit/Debit Card, PayPal

So it appears I can still return to my credit card. Only problem might be: All of my cards were compromised in the Target hack. Had to change them all (my wife and I have had a serious discussion about using multiple cards in this day and age since....something I repeatedly had told her not to do).

Yes, I've noticed that issue too with the desktop app. At some point it times out and disconnects. The only way to reconnect is to close the app or shut down computer altogether. I'm also up to date on the Java. This problem occurs both on my PC and my Mac.

When you select Credit/Debit, do you still see your credit card number listed that you used to make your deposit? I can see a list of the four credit cards I've used for deposits.

This is what I see:

"We can not directly refund deposits made by credit/debit card before February 23 2015, 6pm EST. These credit/debit card withdrawals will be processed via bank transfer. Your bank transfer fee will be waived upon processing"

But as I indicated, I know longer have any of the cards I made deposits with because they were stolen, so I probably would have had to do it in the above mentioned manner.

My transaction history shows the last 4 of my cards used in prior deposits and withdraws

That's good to know nonetheless for other USA users of Oanda. Can you still deposit with Paypal, or has that been eliminated too?
