Oanda or IB?

Dear ssss,

The minimum amount for mini forex account with GFT is 500$. For a beginning, I would rather start with 250$, because I do not know my emotions during real play.

Is there any reasonable other choice besides Oanda for such a small capital?

For another reader*s -

1. Account manager(in case of MBT owner) knew not
(in case of MBT public lies) what he says/wrote

2.To author answered GFTforex U.K. ,not GFTforex USA

To your knowledge competence of FSA U.K. incomparable lower as competence of SEC USA and lower as competence of
CFTC (related to regulation forex based USA broker) .But better as in Swiss ,where Swiss forex market/broker are not regulated .

Better offer account only in USA ,not in U.K .

Summary -not to send to any broker any cent ,with exception ,this which was won by trader contest with
entry without charge .

Any suspect -exist alternative ,buy multiple bottle*s of good
cognac . 250$ = approx 4 bottle of 0.7 litr Delamain Pal &DRy
25 years .GR.CH. (Delamain is one company in the world ,which not make cognac with age lower as 25 years) and drink with friends

Recently author won some money and would use prize money

But I would rather start to be productive, because having fun with friends all the time is boring :)

Indeed, probably the consultants are not well informed. I asked my GFT consultant to clarify, so I will know tomorrow.

I think that a broker with a good position will not steal from small accounts, because every unhappy client on the forums makes them loose potential money from new naive clients.

Where to search? I am a beginner (trading demo consistently for half of a year), interested in Elliot wave theory, which seems to work well on forex with fibonacci analysis. I am a nanoelectronics phycist with scientifical approach and have also good c++ programming skills. I will try to develop my own system or implement a working one. I would always appreciate every clue to make my dreams come true.

I know You "wasted" a lot of thime on this thread clearing out "banalities", but somehow I feel, that You really have a deep knowledge of the markets. If You wrote some clues here or to the PM... I would be grateful.

1. No it is false .To be good from author point of view ,must win
15-20 contests -with paper money -they have very good advantage ,that not taxed through germany law
and with real money .
To date it is not case -author have had operativ best result in USA ,Swiss ,Germany ,but exist lot of persons better as author .

No that can not help ,each person have different knowledge ,skill ,risk acceptance and different objective's

Author not so good in trading to date and have not and interessed not to develop any kind of didactic skill

I have just started my PhD, I have my beloved girlfriend here and a child.

And also they need outstanding programists and I think, that I'm merely good.

But I plan to make consistently more than 500% in a year within 3 years, so the reward (150-250k USD a year) is not that important. Anyway I will think about trying to join them after I have my degree in nanoelectronics. It is more interesting than markets.
