I 'm intrigued why you spend so much effort making your case ?
Why are you the only one in this thread complaining ? (nobody added other "scam screens")
If Oanda was CONSISTENTLY screwing customers they would NOT have a public forum (how many forex brokers do have a forex forum ? IBFX had one but they closed it down, wonder why ?)
If Oanda was CONSISTENTLY screwing customers their boards would be filled with hundreds of people complaining, NOT SO)
Why not trade futures or on multi-bank platform if you take forex seriously instead of trading with bucketshops ?
I don't mind bucketshops per se, heck I've traded with one for long enough, but I've never seen
anything as blatant as
this before. Maybe it happens all the time and I just haven't noticed it, either way there's something fundamentally wrong with the picture.
I'm a cynic when it comes to why these marketmakers have open forums, it could be they're a great place to get candid customer feedback so it's in their interest to have them. And if I'm
really cynical perhaps they have them to gauge the impact of a new 'tactic'!
If you read their forums you will see lots of similar issues, and if you read the replies you will get a better understanding of why they get away with stuff like this.
As far as I know Ivan is a longer term trader so relatively small fluctuations don't really affect him, in fact he probably wouldn't really notice them, why would he?
Why do I spend so much time and effort publicizing something like this? Well the more people who complain/post, the less likely it is to continue, and it may just highlight an issue that others might want to keep an eye on. Besides, aren't forums the place to discuss this stuff?
I'd be happy if someone came up with a plausible explanation as I quite like Oanda but so far no-one has really addressed the issue, and as an intraday short-term trader it's obviously not something I could just ignore.
Hope that helps....please feel free to comment on the video!
