What’s bad is that Trump is so untrusted that military has to make a decision whether or not he can be trusted with operational knowledge.

Yeh well, several of Obama's top intel people are currently under investigation for violations of trust and abuse of powers related to their positions.
And it is clear that if Hillary had been elected she would be running a private server or two and the military would have to weigh whether they want to communicate anything to her, knowing that foreign agents were visiting her various servers.
