NYSE open book

I found the statement below on the Esignal web site. Does anybody know is this 10 second delay exists on all NYSE open books or is the esignal book a lager to the others. Also, does anybody use the NYSE book from esignal and if so, what do you think of it.

The NYSE sends out the data in 10-second bursts. That's why you may see the Open Book out of sync occasionally with the best bid/ask quote in a quote window. Unlike with NASDAQ Level II data, the NYSE doesn't stream the data tick by tick in Open Book
 
I don't use ESignal but I hear constant complains from other traders about delays in Times & Sales, I haven't heard the same about the NYOB.
 
Thanks for your response. The open book on esignal seems to have lots of features. It's the delay factor that i am concerned about.

I have been using the time and sales for years through esignal and i've never really had any problems with it. I have compared the speed to it with other time and sales and they were fine there too.

What are those special features on ESignal's NYOB?

I'm scalper so for me a minimun delay of any detail (tick chart, book, or prints) can make a huge difference.
 
I signed up for the service but won't be active till this monday, so I haven't really had the opportunity to play with it to much yet. It offers lots of different color scenes and a Market depth meter. Not Sure how useful any of it will be until I actually get it set up.

I still would like to find out about this issue with the delay. I know that the book is always a bit slow and that the specialist can lock it up and play his silly little games, but I never knew that it only updated every 5 or 10 seconds. I know that when i place a bid or an offer, that i see it show up nearly instantaneously.
