Thanks for your reply, jrodriguez.
I'm really bummed and so I look to the help of all of et.
My trading idea relies heavily on the "order of importance" the specialists place on the stocks they are trading, specifically, I am looking for stocks that from a volume point of view are second tier.
For example, many specialists will handle say, 5 or 6 stocks, with one, maybe two, being those the specialist pays attention to first when the mkt makes a move. I am interested in stock number three--still has some liquidity because of volume, yet is not constantly on the specialist's radar.
So if the nyse marketrac--which had this information in a very slick graphical interface--is not providing any information, where can I get it?
Any ideas? I was thinking of filtering my stocks first, then finding the specialist firm whatever stock I intended on trading, to call them directly to see what volume position their specialist trades the stock (if you understand what I am trying to say, that's cool, because its kinda hard to explain).
Anyway, I see problems with this, primarily the firm has no motive to provide me w/ the info I need. Indeed, they have motivation to mislead me, if only for sport.
I know that there are a lot of people out there w/ a whole lot more mkt contacts/info that I dont have, and I look forward to their help.
Thanks.
