After reading the article, my conclusion is that NX will be discontinued in the near future. I sincerely hope that I am wrong, but the NYSE is leaning towards it.
Why do you say that they are discontinuing NX ? To me it seems more like they are adapting to the rule to make it less possible to manilpulate the thinner stocks. Obviously for thinner stock traders it not good but it does provide for a better market.
The reason I see it, is that they are experimenting with using the old Dot system again on 5 different stocks. They would not be doing it, if they wanted to expand NX.
