There is a rough arbitrage between toilet paper and the newspapers.
Some merit in that line of thinking.
In 1980, John Pugsley wrote a book about how to "survive the economy"... by loading up on toilet paper and shoes.... both essentials, of course.
Ended up.... those who followed his advice had a butt-load of TP and shoes they couldn't unload to anybody.
