hey seth,

sorry i missed you at the show. spent some of monday visiting the vendors then hooked up with some friends for lunch at the famous "tad's steaks" home of the .99 cent sirloin. LOL ! classic new york...... surfer :)

i checked out Tad's but the wait seemed too long. was it good? those prices were awesome!!!

is it just me or most attendee look like somebody grandpa, grandma. I stand next to 100% tax free energy trade booth, the saleswomen enthusiastically informed the gentleman that this is the greatest tax shelter investment, to which he reply I'm 70 year old and I don't need tax shelter.

Excellent show....

accept for the dispicable presence of AB Watley and Gary Mednick......ughh...

Schoenfeld had a booth, but from what I heard, they had a problem finding potential traders/customers that look like them....

there were a lot of FX and Futures brokers in the places where Equity brokers used to be....

the sophisticated Retail brokers had excellent coverage and presence...

anybody know who won the Mini Cooper?

hey, were were those Crab Claws at on Sunday?

"look like them" ???????? what does that mean?

great show all around...

more serious vendors without all the glitz...

a number of them used some pretty models who actually knew about their products, imagine that.....

some of the sleezy operators were there, and since the words' out, they had even bigger show booths (AB Watley; presentation by Gary Mednick, etc.)

some of the commentators were provokative.....

good show....

in the 15 minutes that I was there I observed more than 5 - 6 people get ignored and walk away.

I listened to one guy pitch an old geezer who could barely stand up...

but that's not saying to much. these shows are exhaustive, and I probably wouldn't be able to stand up if I didn't keep putting my canvas duffle down.

anyways, they used to be so so exclusive, itf surprising to see them going after the $25k+ retail accounts and pitch people to get licensed and trade through them....

so, I guess looking like them, means young urban non-professional or something like that....
