I'm referring to the "new" UTC. The UTX (UTC) that you're referring to technically isn't going to exist. It's splitting into three parts: UTC, Otis, and Carrier. UTC will consist of, what is now, Collins Aero and Pratt & Whitney and the executive office will base out of Palm Beach. The executive office is new and several executives (CEO's among them) transitioned there. Now do you see any connection between the topic this thread and what I'm talking about. I can tell you just don't get it.
Actually you're again just completely incorrect. Is or is not Gregory Hayes the CEO of what you call the "new" UTC (There is only one CEO of a company, just so you know)? Is or is not Michael Dumais the COO of what you call the "new" UTC? Is or is not Paul Eremenko the CTO of what you call the "new" UTC? You asked who was going to be left in CT and I told you, apparently you just didn't like the answer? Hint, they all are continuing to hold those positions. And they all are remaining in CT, at what remains the "new" UTC HQ after spinning off Carrier and Otis. As I've said over and over, Rockwell Collins is not UTX, it is
a division of UTX, new or old! The guy in charge of that division, David Gitlin, is not some kind of co-CEO, there aren't CEO's (plural) of the organization, he is President & Chief Operating Officer, Collins Aerospace. "All the executives of UTX relocated to Palm Beach Florida mid 2018" is most certainly not true, in fact all of the Cxx level executives did not relocate at all and are still in CT and staying there. Not to mention the guy you seem so hung up on relocated not from CT but from Iowa!
Here's the deal, human brains, yours, mine, everyones, filter everything they see through the lense of that brain's worldview. If your worldview is FL=no income tax=conservative=my tribe=good and CT=taxes=liberals=enemy tribe=bad, then when you skim through an article by a regional development organization touting how much business is moving there and they mention UTX your brain either fills in what you skimmed over or just replaces it in your memory with what fits your worldview. My brain would probably do the same if I read something about a company moving to CA from Kansas, for example. This is part of how brains are wired, neither you or I can change that.
The difference between you and I is that 1. I'm aware that this happens, 2. I look out for it and try to correct it when it happens, and 3. When someone points out that I've done it I realize "damn, happened again", revise my memory to the truth, and move on having learned something new about both the tricks brains play and the actual event in question. Do a quick search on this board for my name and the times I've said something to the effect of "I stand corrected, you were right", you'll find it a few times.
You, on the other hand, appear to not be aware of this phenomenon. Because you're not aware it exists you don't realize when it happens. Therefore when it does happen your response is to become belligerent while doubling down on your incorrect assertion with the idea that you can never,
never be wrong when it comes to something that supports your political narrative. If that's not how you operate my apologies, maybe you're just having a bad day today and this thread isn't representative of your normal mode of operation?
