I very diligently wear an n95 mask because someone who lives with us has reduced lung capacity (not elderly) and I am on emergency call for the hospice. I'd used one regardless to protect others as I'm not antisocial.

I think you can wear a mask if you are sick or in a compromising position in tight spots with many people. Anyone can wear one if they think it’s making them safe. It’s likely not doing anything. And it certainly shouldn’t be mandatory.

the mask is to prevent you from spreading it. It catches your droplets so you cannot share them with your friends. If we all wear them we stop the spread from people who have it and may be asymptomatic or not showing serious signs or who are suck and ignore staying home.
