The artificial intelligence chip maker and world’s third-most valuable public company wants to press home its dominance. CEO Jensen Huang unveiled the company’s new Blackwell B200 chip at its developer conference Monday night. The new semiconductor, it says, is up to 30 times faster than Nvidia’s flagship H100 chip, which has proved incredibly successful and driven the company’s remarkable rally.

Good news doesn't necessarily means stock price moving up. I'm super impressed with Nvidia business performance and its stock valuation, but comes a number when hot heads cool down and 974 doesn't come back for years.

Or will it?

I think it's just a temporary 'issue'.
With such products the stock should rise further, IMO even beyond the ATH 974.
Unless they lose sales share in China... I haven't researched this factor...

Okay it's 2024 ...can we finally move on about chips being faster every 3 months 8 months or 2 yrs. We get it...every time a new chip comes out its faster, this is not breaking news any longer.

But for the user it makes a big difference... :) Work completes in less time... And time is money... :-)

Yes. Faster. Maybe 20% faster. 30% faster. Not 30 times faster.

Maybe it was a typo?

I think the point is that this matters a lot to the world's largest tech companies, all vying for a share of the coming AI revolution. To date Nvidia is the only game in town to provide the hardware.

974 ATH hit earlier this month, before this announcement.

In other news, Chipotle (CMG) +3.48% on news of a 50 to 1 stock split. They're also on fire.

CMG is a stock that literally just goes up day after day hour after hour week after week month after month, quarter after quarter....it literally does not go down.....I have been there maybe 7 times in my life. I still will never understand the reasoning why the stock is nearly 3000 a share and why people don't mind spending alot of money on take out. I'm not old school but now a days a simple lunch like that could cost upwards of $15. Consumers must literally have unlimited money in their bank accounts these days....
