Nvda added an entire Fed Ex in 1 single day

Nobody cares . I recall in 1999 when csco hit a $500 bil cap with $20 bil of sales . I kep thinking In10 yrs there whole mkt won’t even be doing $500 bil of sales how can it be worth $500 bill . Same with Ai chips . Nvda near $1.8 trillion cap .In 10 yrs there won’t be $1.8 trillion of total Ai chip sales .What’s really so amazing is this mania is happening in the face of rates from 0-5% . P/e’s should have contracted but the actually rose .

You said nobody carea which is true. Are you saying they are just believing that this time is really different and that this craze will be able to keep up with Wallstreet for the next 2... 5... 14 18 years?

Nvda is going to have major competition. I know it's a bit of time away but it's going to happen. Companies are racing to grab market share and even if they grab 2 or 3 % it will be a huge knock out for nvda. How much of their revenue stream relies on just that one chip. Companies are going ai crazy jumping into a space buying up chips, the ai craze is just a part of the hype to create this euphoria so that wallstreet can feed off of it ........
Sure, but that's not the point of this thread, is it??? As I said before, there's nothing that you can do to stop this rising tide. If you can't participate, ya might as well enjoy the scenery. Otherwise, you'll just get hurt.

On the flip side, I was also reading that lots of Chinese people are abandoning their markets and putting all that money into US markets, so there could be no end in sight to the buying.
Call it a trend or a fad. We go through these every 10 years or so. Once the AI craze dies out, nobody would even remember this day in history.

Every handful of years wallstreet rides the wave of hype but this ai hype is literally off the charts. Ai is here to stay yes, we get it, but bring it down a few notches.......I tried that chatgpt for a moment ...I still don't understand how it is so mind blowing. Maybe for a select few, but I had zero need for it....

I also don't understand the point of this thread. At all. What are you complaining about? Stock market exuberance? Not having bought NVDA 2 years ago? China's shitty stock market?

Total waste of 5 minutes

He's mad about bitcoin
He's mad about stock going crazy high.

If you're invested in just s&p or nasdaq, just shut up and enjoy the ride. You'll do worse predicting crashes.

I can kinda see why he's so upset. It ain't the stock and bitcoin prices are off the charts but all that wealth is concentrated in only a handful of companies and individuals.

But we live in a fucked up world with no scruples of any kind. Everything is viewed through the lens of capitalism, where excess is extolled as virtue. So none of that should come as any surprise.

No. Nobody is catching nVidia any time soon. AMD can't even catch up to nVidia's gaming graphics cards. The AMD Radeon cards are always a step behind and frankly there is never enough stock to buy.

Since the explosion in performance that came out during the nVidia RTX 2080 Ti cycle AMD has done a good job trying to catch up but they are always one step behind. I mean they spend most of their resources trying to beat Intel with their Ryzen & EPYC chips.

The real advantage for nVidia is their CUDA cores & software integration which is basically a monopoly. The large tech companies like Apple, Amazon, etc. can make their own application specific GPUs to do the job but that is long process in itself.
