NRA calls for armed police officer in every school

Quote from BSAM:

The NRA will use any methods they can think of to keep themselves in business.
They must surely be having a hard time sleeping at night.

I'm sure the NRA sleeps just fine on that pile of cash they have and they know this will all blow over soon. Have you heard any recent news on the Oregon mall shooting? The answer to that question is NO, that one is already forgotten just like this one will be soon. The NRA will just have to weather the storm until the next mass killing and then repeat the same blah, blah, blah excuses.

Ok, what if there are two armed psychos like Columbine. One psycho kills the armed guard and the other kills all the kids, would the NRA's response to that be put two police officers at every school? Not realistic solution in my eyes.
It's easy to coordinate district security that can quickly converge on a school that experiences a problem. Security is the ONLY solution that is going to work. If you say schools don't need security, you are asking for the blood to be on your own hands.

As the "bore hogs" understand gun laws could easily change unfavorably for them, they've come out with a sacrificial extreme position that serves to move compromise a little in their favor.

That can't be the ONLY solution, I don't know when you were in school but I went to school in the 80's and I don't remember any shootings then. It's seems like a fairly recent trend and there has to be a reason for it. I don't side with the NRA but I do believe these shooting have a link with shooter video games.

I think Newtown was the tipping point, brother Close.
The NRA is agreeing with me, as you can see they are in panic mode.

For real.
I wonder why all of a sudden they come up with this?
Too funny.

Actually they suggested it after the VA Tech shooting. Had it been implemented then instead of all this futile useless arguing over gun control, 26 people in CT would probably be alive today.

Even if were easy (which I don't believe) what would be the response time, 3-5 minuets? Dozens of kids could be killed in that time with the guns and clips that are currently available. Would you not agree?

It is much easier and cheaper to simply not sell guns to certain people than hire thousands of cops.
Non sense. You've just convinced me you couldn't care less about school safety. You merely have a bug up your butt about guns. Too much leftist Kool-aid no doubt.

NRA was so full of shit in that press release it was not even funny....
NO he wasn't. The protesters escorted from the room OTOH certainly were.

Even if this had been implemented a mass murder would have still been carried out. The shooter would look for another soft target like a Walmart or Home Depot.
