But how old are you?
At 10% compounded rate it will take about 45 years.
But the market chart is not at a valley at the moment it is near all time highs.
All time high from 2000 to all time in 2021, a 3x increase took 21 years.
So i reckon it will take at least 60 years for the NQ to hit one million, not in my life time, but maybe yours.
The difference between them is S2000 is a perma-bear, and Rick is a perma-bull. But they do whine in a similar fashion, even when making money.

I do like % myself, a dollar amount in 1929/1999 maybe different in 2009.
I would rather have stair stepping volume or inverse for a good trend/\ but again the market seldom consults me ...............................................................

You have to start thinking about risk-reward up here. Extreme levels here. Everything is flashing red.
But WHY!?!?! You keep telling people here over and over and over again it is all rigged to the upside! You have been following the markets for 20 years and it is the same thing over and over and over again, as you say. So what is the big deal? Do you simply have no balls?

He must of sold out his position and is now waiting for a correction to get back in, but prices keep going higher.
This is a chart of Nikkei, NQ is currently at almost 15,000 level, you can see the Nikkei going up vertically at 14000 in 1987.
NQ could go up to 30, 40 or even 50,000 over the next two or three years just like the Nikkei did back then

NDX gone up 150x since early 70s.
My parents bought a house in the early 70s , really cheap suburb in London, cost them 2.5K, currently worth around 400K.
That house had the same sort of price growth as the NDX, i.e. it went up around 150x
Although most of the gain in the house was in the 70s, when the house went up 8x.
In the 80s, it went up just 3x.
In the 90s it went up less than 2x.
And between 2000 and 2021 it went up 3x
It is hard to predict what kind of price growth you will get in any particular asset in any given decade.
