a 50pt stop!


Based on it being a day-trade and the round number I would think it's more a "catastrophic" money stop rather than a structure stop. There is no law that requires a stop must trigger in order to exit the trade. But in the event of some sort of catastrophe (power outage, exchange halt,, flash crash/rally) at least there is an effort to protect.

This is an experimental trade (with real money) using a much longer time frame for the stop as if it were a position trade.
