NQ futures increased volatility after stocks close

The market was quite lazy into the close today but right after 15.00 it went quite wild. I was losing the entire day and 2 minutes after close I am back green for the day :-)

What causes such high vol after close? Anybody knows?

Alphabet and Microsoft earnings.

I wish i did not know wtf was going on. Because i knew and did not feel like taking a chance i closed a small loss.

I thought the OP must be a newb.

But no, he is a 10 year ET veteran. That means he should have seen about 40 earnings cycles since he joined.

I hardly care about news anymore just major ones like FFR, just ride the waves.. So many trades it makes no sense to look for the reason behind particular move. dumbest system ever traded trust me
