NQ Beginner - Trading With Discipline

Quote from kidPWRtrader:

SSSS,

I checked on Marketzar but it seems its like a casino. Seems very fishy to me and even though it says its free, to download the platform on the agreements it still lists 50 bucks even though I clicked on the free one.

I appreciate your advice though I honestly don't know how to apply most of the things you said

Most conservative from risk management -

Do not send to any broker any cent ,with exception of price money from trader contest with entry without charge

Most conservative to your ENH question about tactic is

try to catch only in opening hours in paper game with integrated CME FIFO order for 1-1.5 points of risk
3-30 points of reward ...

Only 3 attempts per day

GReat Reward related to great risk ,you try to perform
reward ,which is very good for fund manager with risk
which is comporable with risk of Goldman Sachs per day
(2 % of company capital) .That is possible ,but not
light task .

You can compare risk adjusted return by fund manager
competition

If you are USA resident and true only 19 years old ,best way would try to compete in different contests without charge -

http://individuals.interactivebrokers.com/en/general/education/IBTradingOlympiad.php?ib_entity=llc

This unique forum allows the future leaders in technology to compete for potential jobs and up to $100,000 in prize money. Interactive Brokers is sponsoring the Olympiad to highlight the growing need for tech savvy students in the financial industry, and to draw attention to this need in academia generally and particularly among students who are making important career choices.

You must try to win ,if not first price ,than 11-30

profit price

Thanks for the clarifications. I did manage to figure out marketzar and will give it a go. Might as well try it out even if I still use ninja for my charting.

Also understand your explanation a little better. As is, I don't have any edges based on market open. I just try to operate within the realm of what I'm comfortable with.

Am I correct in assuming that you mean that you should try to catch the directional bias for the day using 3 attempts and if you don't get it, shut down for the day?

I haven't traded like this, so if you could show me an example I would appreciate it. Thank you for the help.

Also, while I have taken some programming classes, with my given course load and (fairly) limited programming skills, I don't think it would be productive for me to spend my time on producing a system and learning a language. In addition, the contest is closed for new entrants for this year.

marketzar

6 feb contest without charge . You must not by registration inform marketzar about your Bank ,debit card account number .

simple registr and play . But with tactic ,which you tryed you
would not win ...

Emini Stock Indexes (YM\ES\ER\NQ)

Illustrativ

One of possible winning tactic try to buy on ful margin
erth8 with stop loss some 2 points and catch 5-7 points
of ERTH8 with one operations ,after that lot of small operations

That is in 3 hours .10 points must be wit hgood chance enough for first price . for place 4-7 ,which give you a right to play great contest without charge task is more light .

you can use as supportive openecry infinitybrokerage at .
they all with real time quote + account with real time quote
of qqqq iwm dia spy intc msft csco amgn qcom

#################################
Military principle - Objective ,conzetration ,economy of the force &

Great quantity of attempts can not be performed
with equal quality . By opening you would try catch
movement of the day ,that is more light task as try to catch
100 movement per day
---
I haven't traded like this, so if you could show me an example I would appreciate it. Thank you for the help.

Strong scientific -can not give ... As opinion of the author based
on author personality and experience (performed multiple 10000
operations with real quote ,paper money)

Author can start openecry simulator ,take some good day and perform catch by opening 5-10 points of ENH8 for 1-1.5 risk

But result would not related to unscientific junk as "...
channel breakthrough" ,"bollinger band ..."
" 100 EMA crossed 20 day EMA"

to experience only ,which based on observation reaction
on different news different related instruments

dax,qqqq,spy,dia ,msft,intc,csaco ,zn,zg,qm ,fgbl &

and in best case by long row of attempts author would possible
only limited better as simple monkey .This would perform
500 winning from 1000 operations by equal risk/reward

You try to perform with relativ small risk very good result
It is possible but not light .

Great reward in most of the case's related to great risk .As example Thengiz Khan was most wealthiest person in history of civilization

Exist multiple contest for USA residents ,with paper money and with real . If you true wish to start trading carrier ,you must try to win multiple ...

They all have multiple dissadvantage's ,but by real money trading essentialy the same story ...

http://www.iep.utm.edu/p/poincare.htm

For Poincaré, the aim of the science is to prediction. To accomplish this task, science makes use of generalizations that go beyond the experience. In fact, scientific theories are hypotheses. But every hypothesis has to be continually tested. And when it fails in an empirical test, it must be given up.

For Poincaré, there are many kinds of hypotheses:

Hypotheses which have the maximum scope, and which are common to all scientific theories (for example, the hypothesis according to which the influence of remote bodies is negligible). Such hypotheses are the last to be changed.
Indifferent hypotheses that, in spite of their auxiliary role in scientific theories, have no objective content (for example, the hypothesis that unseen atoms exist).
Generalizations, which are subjected to empirical control; they are the true scientific hypotheses.
Regarding Poincaré's point of view about scientific theories, the following have the most lasting value:

Every scientific theory is a hypothesis that had to be tested.
Experience suggests scientific theories; but experience does not justify them.
Experience alone is unable to falsify a theory, for the theory often corrects the experience.
A central aim of science is prediction.
The role of a falsified hypothesis is very important, for it throws light on unforeseen conditions.
Experience is judged according to a theory.

Quote from cap'ncod:

What has science got to do with greed and fear?

Is it pop version of motiv(ground) from propaganda book's

Great reward in history related to great risk

Thengiz-Khan ,Napoleon,Kortes,Pissaro &

Respondent tryed to perform 100% with risk 5% per day .It is possible ,but not light task

SSSS, though you are very eccentric, I do appreciate the effort. Maybe language differences?

My native language is Russian so maybe if you speak that as well? Hehe...

I also do not understand the relevance of the quote. Thanks anyways though, I will keep your suggestions in mind.

While I enjoy philosophy, as my schedule is very tight now with the start of school, I must concentrate on direct efforts to improve in trading. To me, this means screen time and not philosophy.
