Now to Kill Xbox 360 of microsoft

Yeah, I'm not spending a lot of my time at the retirement homes so I am clueless about that market. I really think the Wii has some great benefits for geriatrics so that is a plus for those folks who can't go outside and play sports for real. I stand corrected :).

Ok boys.. Sorry to bust your thread.

Never stood in line at BB for the Wii. But.. when the wife and couple hundred thousand others did< i bought the stock. Nov 2006 $26.50. NTDOY.pk

Tip: ask where your wife and kids where they spend all your cashola! and then do a little research and long or short the stock. Use options where applicable.

Uhh, no they don't. Significantly different. That's why XBOX has to come out with add-ons. That's why PS3 was so highly priced and their pitch was that PS3 will take time to truly start using its potential.

Comparing multi-platform games doesn't mean anything. It's all up to the programmers. Xbox is easier to program for, PS3 is very hard to program for but has untapped potential. The differences in graphics are becoming unnoticeable, it's not about that anymore.

I don't own either and have little plan to. But at this point in time, there is no reason to buy Xbox over PS3, unless you are a Halo freak, in which case you have Xbox already.

Your comments about the Wii expose that you do not really understand the industry. Nintendo was and still is the most successful of the Next-Gen systems. Profitable from Day 1, fastest selling and even had to step up production to keep with demand. The Wii is very fun while being simple, with a unique library of games. Nintendo is not in the same battle that Sony & Microsoft are at, which is control over the entertainment center of the home. It's not just about games anymore.

Great insights Hydro!

I agree that Wii has been a financial phenomenon so congrats on the trade. It is just personal preference is all. I don't give a rat's ass either way which console is ultimately the winner. I don't pretend to know the industry or play gaming industry analyst like some folks on here. I just know what I like and I have played all three consoles that's all. To each his own....

agreed, all I care about is who's buying the goods. Follow the sheep........:)

Wii is fun. I spent a half hour playing tennis on one the other day, it could work into an exercise routine really, the warm up and cool down parts... it's G rated fun and the graphics is cute really, they do slow mo replays from the other side of the net after every point with applause and sounds from the crowd..... I'm not even a gamer but I enjoyed it.
