This is actually a personal issue. We have freedoms and rights in America. Kneeling before the flag does nothing to anything except what's in people's heads.

Example: Seeing a minority in the vicinity offends some people.

We can't make a habit of restricting the freedoms of others simply because we are offended. What happens when something you want to do offends the next guy?

I hear your opinion, but being offended because someone just takes a knee, during a song, in front of a flag, is silly to me ... just my opinion.

Ask and answer for yourself, how does that knee negatively affect you, other than in your head?

Maybe we should have the players ransack the concession stands and burn part of the stadium right before the game. The democrat party refers to these actions as peaceful and it is their right after all.

The flag is a piece of cloth - has no feelings, no opinion. BTW I've got one stored away, a triangular folded one, and I'm guessing you know what that represent.
