Now they are going after Drew Brees

Imo, the discussion falls on these lines. Does a player have the right to kneel during the national anthem. Yes, but I find it very offensive to use a national symbol, one that people have fought and died defending, as a tool in politics.

If I publicly state that, then I’m ushered into some “magatard” category by the left.

Today’s divide between left/right issues is toxic, and at a point where there is no common ground in anything. Everything is placed into a political framework and either you’re on our side or your opinion is not worth repeating.

that’s a question for the NFL.
KNEEL?
Maybe they will allow it.
Why not let the players burn the flag during the anthem? I mean, it’s their right, right?

You can't have it both ways, either LeBron is right to freely express his opinions (regardless if you approve) or he needs to stay out of political discussions.

However you decide should be the same standard for everyone. If LeBron’s opinion is ok, then Bree’s opinion is ok and he needs no apology.

Who said Lebron wasn't allowed to have an opinion?

This is actually a personal issue. We have freedoms and rights in America. Kneeling before the flag does nothing to anything except what's in people's heads.

Example: Seeing a minority in the vicinity offends some people.

We can't make a habit of restricting the freedoms of others simply because we are offended. What happens when something you want to do offends the next guy?

I hear your opinion, but being offended because someone just takes a knee, during a song, in front of a flag, is silly to me ... just my opinion.

Ask and answer for yourself, how does that knee negatively affect you, other than in your head?

If I publicly state that, then I’m ushered into some “magatard” category by the left.

If I had no history of chatting with you, and we both entered a chat room, and you stated that, without a question attached, I'd have nothing to say. I guess I might ask you "why?" But I truly wouldn't care. I might label you in my mind, but we all do that.

But I have to admit, you're probably more right than wrong here.

Today’s divide between left/right issues is toxic, and at a point where there is no common ground in anything. Everything is placed into a political framework and either you’re on our side or your opinion is not worth repeating.

Unfortunately, you're more correct than not here. The prognosis doesn't look good.

Maybe we should have the players ransack the concession stands and burn part of the stadium right before the game. The democrat party refers to these actions as peaceful and it is their right after all.

And on the right (two posts below yours)

"Libtard retards come out and say." Before saying THATSSSSSS RAYSSSSSISSSSSSS

Funny how you pointed out "lines" .... in only one direction, don't cha think?

But do you think that is offensive?

The flag is a piece of cloth - has no feelings, no opinion. BTW I've got one stored away, a triangular folded one, and I'm guessing you know what that represent.

Why wingnutty Laura Ingraham did. That's who.

No she didnt. You have no idea what you are talking about.

I think Lebron said it best when he said "a lot of people wasn't educated". It looks like RRY16 wasnt educated, was you?
