Now they are going after Drew Brees

You can't have it both ways, either LeBron is right to freely express his opinions (regardless if you approve) or he needs to stay out of political discussions.

However you decide should be the same standard for everyone. If LeBron’s opinion is ok, then Bree’s opinion is ok and he needs no apology.

He didn't have to apologize, if he didn't want to. He chose to apologize, as he changed his thinking on the issue, after feedback from his teammates.

I am not the one wanting it both ways, wingnut Ingraham is.

They are both entitled to their opinion. But in the case of Brees he realized, unlike some, that wrapping himself in the flag at a moment when current events have nothing to do with it was a mistake.

I disagree. Bree’s apology came after backlash from the media and the left.

One man kneels in front of the flag as a protest. One man says the flag is sacred and shouldn’t be used in protest.

Which is right, which is wrong?

You just seem confused nobody is asking to have it both ways. You don't get to control what any of these people do including kneeling or apologizing.

If I own a company do I have any say if my employees (identified as my company, on company time) say/act in a manner that might cause damage to my company.

I disagree.

Exactly which fact are you disagreeing with?
1. He didn't have to apologize, if he didn't want to.
2. He chose to apologize, as he changed his thinking on the issue, after feedback from his teammates.

Bree’s apology came after backlash from the media and the left.

His apology came after a lot of things that happened in the world. That doesn't necessarily mean that they are connected. Did you watch the video? Did he say it was due to backlash for the media and the left? Or did he indicate a change of heart?

They both can be right. It's a matter of opinion. Also, kneeling "in front of" the flag is not illegal.

Knelling is not against the law unless a handcuffed, presumed innocent until found guilty under the law, individual's neck .... is underneath your knee.

Imo, the discussion falls on these lines. Does a player have the right to kneel during the national anthem. Yes, but I find it very offensive to use a national symbol, one that people have fought and died defending, as a tool in politics.

If I publicly state that, then I’m ushered into some “magatard” category by the left.

Today’s divide between left/right issues is toxic, and at a point where there is no common ground in anything. Everything is placed into a political framework and either you’re on our side or your opinion is not worth repeating.

Shouldn't he just shut up and throw a football, that's his job....
The biggest difference is that Lebron was criticizing the POTUS, Brees was explaining how he felt about the flag. And how he felt when his colleagues, or anyone, knelt before it. There is a difference.

What’s similar is that both have The absolute right to be critical And make comments. And we all have the absolute right to tell them to STFU or just dribble or throw or whatever. Yes.

Brees mistake was not owning his comments. He backed down and pussed out. He apologized. BIG MISTAKE. NEVER EVER APOLOGIZE TO THE RACE HUSTLERS.

Lebron doubled down. He didn’t give a shit if he lost some fans for it. I’ll give him respect for that.

These stories always bring out the same 4 or 5 racist dumb asses thinking they have something to say about minorities.
And when Brees says “I will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America or our country.“
Libtard retards come out and say
THATSSSSSS RAYSSSSSISSSSSSS.
Because they agree with anybody disrespecting the flag. They don’t respect the flag or the country. So fuck em.
