Now The GOP Needs To Worry About The Senate In 2016

republican or democrat, all bureaucracy is a tool to hand out jobs and appointments.
As well as a tool to operate beyond congress, and in some instances, a weapon to be used against political opponents. Of course, if congress were to use it's power of the purse, it could control any of the actions of any bureaucracy. But that all depends on which party has that power, and their willingness to use it.

I hear ya, my main bitch is that there is no willingness to reform the corporate tax code, because when you think about it, that is really where all the power in Washington D.C. resides. No loopholes, no subsidies, no special tax breaks? Then who needs a congressman or a lobbyist? If the only people they had to work for were poor traders they would have to pay more attention to me. And I don't ask for much, just stop regulating the 500 companies I own, and let me smoke a little pot.

I hear you, too. But shit, we couldn't even get medical j in my fucking backwoods state. At least some of us were smart enough to keep Crist out. If he would have won, we would be looking at a state income tax...IMO.

I don't ask for much either...just want DC to stay the fuck out of my life. I'm not hurting anybody the way I live.

There's something about this I can really appreciate. Strong existential streak in it. : )
