Posting history suggests you are far more distressed about the US then I am about Canada.
If you guys are going to rail on and on about what you don't like about your country, you will get people commenting on those ideas. I find that Canada is well ahead of the US in terms of social policy and harmony; that's the reality I live in.

The traditional "ugly American" act looks pathetic given how much struggle exists for many in the US these days. What use is all that false pride in fixing your very real social and economic problems ? If you system is so good, why are poverty levels so high, and why does your government have to borrow so much these days to keep everything afloat ?

Canada has always been a more peaceful, cohesive, safer society then the US. The trade off has always been the superior economic opportunities. That aspect is in question now. Your taxes are growing, unemployment rates are similar ( actually, US was higher for several recent years ), the American dream simply isn't working any more for so many of your people.

You may prefer the US, I'm fine with that, just please don't come to Canada. "Irrelevent" may be a blessing in so many ways.
