By his own admission he was a non-combatant. While normally that wouldn't change my high level of respect, in this time of Drumpf I must say, "I like guys who actually saw combat (and who weren't captured)."
While I do feel empathy for those who are required to fight wars, especially unnecessary ones, it doesn't excuse their actions later in life if they go off the deep end. I cannot respect someone who lacks basic respect for others who are different. Scat has posted highly racist ideas on here for years. He also seems unhinged and it wouldn't surprise me if he lost it in the real world and acted on his ideas. I'm not saying he will, just that he's more likely then others.

Playing fast and loose with racial epithets doesn't mean much. I have lots of colored friends and derogatory racial comments are usually a passing thought. I wouldn't put much stock into it unless a person is genuinely racist and I don't believe Scat is.

On one of the business channels last night, they were highlighting current polls of Clinton leading Trump 49-37. And the reason given for those who oppose Trump is they feel like he's a racist. Stupid sheeple. They don't even understand what it means to be racist.
