Great! So please explain why the Camaro in that video, with an IRS, beats the GT500 with a solid rear axle, out of the line? Roush, Kenny Brown, or other after market Ford manufacturers will make your Ford hook up correctly. Why on earth can't Ford do it right from the beginning?

Well, it's time to get an IRS from the factory on a mustang so that they handle better. It will then change the geometry and dynamics of the car, enabling much better looks from the rear end. It is a win-win-win situation.

The real problem with mustang handling is not so much the rear end but the poor front geometry. A strut front end will never handle as well as torsion bar, like the camaros had, or wishbone, like vettes have. Not sure if the new Camaro has torsion bars or not. Struts also require the characteristically high front fender line mustangs have.
Before someone points out that BMW uses struts, yes you can make them handle but they will never be as good as bars or wishbone.

Does any one know if I can drop the new 5-OH engine in a '95 Mustang with little or no headaches? Recall that the '95 is the last 5-0H before they went 4.6.
Yeah, a wishbone on the front geometry for the Mustang is an obvious choice for the 5-OH, but geesys Ford didn't even add DPI to the new 5-OH because it added $200 to the cost of the engine.

I got car envy last night. This guy had a new 2011 5-OH, and he did it right with a very aggressive and attractive lower stance. Slight modifications to the rear end bumper and 1/4 panels gives it a nice effect. We talked at a stop light and he said he did all the work himself and saved a bundle. I do wish Ford would get the rear end on the Mustang more sporty and out of the clouds it sits so high.
The new 5-OH has an awesome exhaust note, and the car with minor modifications hooks up nicely.
