Nothing wrong with getting rich trading hard, but will money destroy your mind.

I hate people who assume that we are all just bunch of HFT bank machines.

We most certainly are not, most successful traders work their beady little eyes off to make a good chunk of money.

This is what I look like.

Unfortunately no one ever talks about how money destroys the minds of most of us. True story, when my best friend made his first million about 20 years ago, he started calling everyone who made 100 k and less a year as "pathetic losers".

I told him, you know those "losers" unplug your toilet, deliver your pizzas, drive you when you are inebriated. His own daughter was working as a dental assistant at the time making mere 38k a year. I asked him if she is a loser too.

The moral of the story is that too many of you who start making good money (millionaires, billionaires) start assuming how you are God's gift to Earth and how you should be worshiped. And if you grew up with silver spoon in your mouth, there is no deliverance for you, because you can't even comprehend alternative to rich.

If you were born rich, I pity you, enlightenment is forever unreachable to you.

Your friend made a million 20 years ago and then looked down on everyone else. What caused you to extrapolate that to "money destroys the minds of most of us"?

The extremely successful traders I've connected with here are very humble and open to sharing their experiences and helping newbies.

Not true NoDoji, for once in your life speak the truth.

How many Real Traders on ET (people who actually know about paying taxes on equities and futures). How many of them mentored other people on ET in great detail revealing methods.

Not counting lunatic Hershey

As for humble ?

How many on ET admit that Wall St as it is today, will most certainly destroy United States as an economic center.

All I see on ET, is BUY BUY BUY, who cares why it goes up.

Are you anarchist or communist?
Do we need to stop living our lives for you?

Interesting word that you use...hate. Maybe you should stop talking to folks that you hate or has a weird opinion about something you do or don't do.

Seriously, the world is bigger than your opinions and bigger than what goes on in your backyard.

In contrast, I don't care about the millionaires I've never met or never have personally gotten to know. Yet, the few millionaires I do personally know...born with a silver spoon in their mouth. They are the most giving individuals I've ever met, in their own communities and in the surrounding poor communities they live near.

You need professional help. :(

dbPhoenix has been providing in great detail instructions for how to day trade profitably.

Amit is demonstrating a consistently profitable day trading method in his price action facebook journal here on ET and RN is contributing some great details.

Geez offered me (and others) his trading method in detail back in 2009 and even called every trade in advance so anyone in the chat room could mirror him and end up with a handsome return by year end.

Do you think mentoring in great detail revealing methods turns the students into profitable traders?

Here's the truth: No.

Money cannot destroy you, YOU destroy yourself, money is only a medium of exchange, a tool.

It's like saying that alcohol destroys people. No, YOU destroy yourself by choosing to drink, because when was the last time you saw a beer put a Magnum 357 on your head and force you to drink it?

Money will only reveal your true personality (or "true colors" like Cyndy Lauper used to sing) : if you a truly nice person money will reveal that and you will start sharing your wealth, but if you are a SOB money will reveal that also, and you will start treating people like dirt when you get rich.
