Let us not forget that the Christian Church was a terrorist organization at times in its past. The reformation took about three centuries starting in the 1300s. Islam is a few centuries behind. They will catch up, and it may only take a century this time because of modern communications.

One of the things the Reformation didn't eradicate is the connection between religion and ignorance. Education remains the enemy of religion.
