Get a buddy to setup a webcam pointing toward the floor and send you the ip address to the webcam broadcast.

You still see and hear the action in pit from your office or home while you transition off the training wheel.

I HAVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT TRADING ON THE SCREEN WILL NEVER BE PROFITABLE. I traded on the floor in the pit for 8 years with profit trading up to 50 bigs which is 250 minis i made alot of money trading in those times now on the screen have lost almost everything trying the same. I think mostly fools think of profit on the screen. Most of my trading friends agree with this comment

BEST OF LUCK TO YOU ALL....HOPE YOU HAVE DEEP POCKETS YOUR GOING TO NEED IT

haha, I am glad you and I are on a level playing field now.
Welcome to the real world of day trading.
The fittest survive.

PS: never understand what "pit" means. Glad it is gone before I know it.

Your conclusion is probably accurate...in regard to your own personal trading. Trading on the screen is very, very, very, profitable. We've had a few former NYSE Specialists pass through our trading floor after being laid off by Special K. They couldn't make the transition. These guys were great traders on the floor and they couldn't make a dime on the screen. They're all gone and out of the business as of now. Some of their habits and skill-sets were/are not applicable to trading off of the floor. For most of them, they found it too difficult to unlearn old habits and replace them with new ones.

I've never traded on the floor and I never will. But I'd like to think that risk-to-reward is as relevant on the floor as it is on the screen. If you traded that long on the floor you must have a great idea of what it takes to succeed. You just need to learn new tactics and strategies. Easier said than done; I know.

The screen is the present and the future buddy. Good luck to you.

Hey man,

Read Marty Schwartz' PIT BULL... I highly recommend it.

He used to trade in the pits in the glory days, but discovered that he preferred doing so electronically upstairs.

It's a great book!!! Maybe you will get something from it
